Revista Nylon fala sobre Juliana Jabour na Uniqlo

WANG IT!

WANG IT!

Alexander Wang and Juliana Jabour collaborate with Uniqlo.
We are happy for Alexander Wang and his well-deserved 2008 Ecco Domani award. We’re happier now that we hear the designer has signed on to create a cheaper, but no less chic collection for Uniqlo. Joining the likes of Phillip Lim, Alice Roi, and Cloak’s Alexander Plokhov in the Japanese retailer’s Designer Invitational Project, Wang promises his signature street smart style—spring saw oversized blazers, tattered cutoffs, and menswear-inspired T-shirt dresses—won’t be lost in the larger market.
Wang is not alone either: Brazilian “knitwear queen” Juliana Jabour is also designing a spring capsule under the same Invitational umbrella. Will she tame the boldly colored, peter pan-collared, pirate-sleeved mini dresses that graced the catwalk last season? In any event, with both Jabour and Wang’s collections arriving at Uniqlo his March, we now have something more (affordable) to look forward to than the latter’s new handbag line that hits stores in about nine days, two hours…
